Davao City, Philippines — The Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOTC-BARMM) focused on the state of its ongoing infrastructure projects during the 10th Joint Executive Committee (EXECOM) and Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting held in Davao City from July 1 to 2, 2025.

The two-day meeting served as a high-level platform to evaluate project implementation progress, fund utilization, and the challenges in inter-agency coordination. The discussions aimed to improve operational efficiency and strengthen collaboration across the ministry’s seven sectors.

Deputy Minister Muhammad Ameen M. Abbas and Director General Atty. Roslaine L. Macao-Maniri, along with MOTC’s executive and management officials, led the meeting.

A key part of the meeting also focused on service delivery concerns and stakeholder engagement, particularly how cross-sector efforts impact public services in the region.

The ministry also conducted a detailed review of its financial status, including outstanding payables and compliance with the Commission on Audit (COA) directives. Officials examined gaps highlighted in recent audit findings and discussed proposed responses and corrective measures.

The MOTC held a technical budget hearing dry run to strengthen preparedness, simulating a formal budget deliberation in anticipation of upcoming fiscal hearings.

This joint EXECOM-MANCOM session forms part of the MOTC-BARMM’s continuing efforts to align strategic goals, enhance internal systems, and ensure fiscal accountability moving forward.

The meeting's outcomes are expected to guide the ministry in delivering more effective transport and communications services across the Bangsamoro region.
