Maguindanao del Sur — In another successful operation, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (CIDG RFU BAR) arrested a 49-year-old businessman from Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao Del Sur, for unlawful sale of ammunition and illegal possession of firearms.
The suspect, identified as "Kautin," was arrested at 10:25 this morning in Barangay Kitango.
During the operation, CIDG RFU BAR seized from the suspect two (2) caliber .45 pistols, 3 Caliber .45 magazine assemblies, over 800 pieces of Caliber .45 ammunition, 35 pieces of Caliber .38 ammunition, three (3) pieces of Caliber .357 ammunition, 50 pieces of 12 gauge shotgun ammunition, and marked money.
Authorities immediately brought the suspect to the CIDG Maguindanao PFU Office for documentation and proper disposition.
The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
CIDG RFU BAR carried out the operation in collaboration with elements of Datu Saudi Ampatuan Municipal Police.
During the operation, the operating team utilized two alternative recording devices, namely DMT20X-454265 (ARD 1) BOBLOV and RFUBAR2023015 (ARD 2) BOBLOV.
