Authorities Nab Construction Worker at Bongao Port, Tawi-Tawi, for Attempting to Smuggle P102K Suspected Shabu

A 32-year-old construction worker, identified as Sali, was apprehended after attempting to smuggle Php 102,000 worth of suspected shabu on January 23, 2024, at the Port of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.


Sali was arrested following an inspection conducted by the K9 team in the area.



Authorities confiscated approximately 15 grams of suspected shabu from Sali's possession


The arrested suspect has a previous record of involvement in a similar case in 2022.


Sali is now in the custody of the Bongao Police National Police (PNP), awaiting the inquest proceedings for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
