Authorities Seize 2.7 Million Pesos Worth of Smuggled Cigarettes in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte

Maguindanao del Norte —The Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte Police has successfully confiscated smuggled cigarettes valued at 2.7 million pesos in an intel-driven operation along the national highway in Barangay Dalumangcob around 1:40 PM on February 4.



Police operatives intercepted a Wing Van with plate number CBP 9989 And seized one hundred fifty boxes of smuggled cigarettes.


The wing van was driven by a certain John Rex, a resident of South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur, accompanied by individuals identified by authorities as Jason, a resident of Making, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, and Abubakar, a resident of Talayan, Maguindanao del Sur.

Recovered evidence and apprehended suspects are now in the custody of Sultan Kudarat, MDN Police, for proper disposition.


The successful operation was led by Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte PNP Chief, Police Colonel Esmael Madin, and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.
