Cotabato City — Twenty-three hospitals, nine (9) barangay health stations, and two (2) rural health units will be constructed and renovated across the BARMM region following the signing of a contract of agreement between the Ministry of Health (MOH) and thirty contractors for the healthcare facility project amounting to 431.7 million pesos.
The MOH BARMM said this to address the growing healthcare needs in densely populated areas of the region.
Funding for these healthcare facilities has been sourced from the Special Development Fund (SDF) for 2021 and 2022, Tiyakap 2022, Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) for 2021, Transition Development Impact Fund (TDIF) for 2023, and General Appropriations Act for the Bangsamoro (GAAB) for 2023.
