Diane Hora | iMINDSPH

Manila —Muslim government workers are encouraged to adopt flexible working hours during the Ramadan period in compliance with the Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) policy outlined in Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 06, series 2022, reported by Radyo Pilipinas.

The CSC suggests Muslim employees may adjust their work schedule during Ramadan from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM without a noon break. They may be excused from work on Fridays between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to allow time for prayer.

To ensure compliance with the 40-hour workweek requirement, flexible working hours must not start earlier than 7:00 AM and should conclude no later than 7:00 PM. Flexitime is also among the options Muslim government workers can consider for their schedules.

Furthermore, all government agencies are reminded to maintain uninterrupted service delivery while implementing these flexible arrangements.
