Manila -In a report by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the value of damaged infrastructure facilities in the CARAGA Region reached P473 million, while P265.5 million was recorded in the Davao Region, totaling 134 infrastructure sites. This information is based on a report by Radyo Pilipinas.
A total of 1,344 houses were reported destroyed in Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and CARAGA Region due to heavy rainfall from January 28 to February 3, 2024.
Of these, 783 houses were partially damaged, and 558 were totally destroyed.
Sixteen bridges and six (6) national roads remain impassable in the three regions. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Local Government Units continue clearing operations to restore access to the affected areas.
