Maguindanao del Norte — A 30-year-old man identified as alias “Alvin,” allegedly a drug den maintainer, was arrested in a buy-bust operation launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit BARMM in Purok Tugunan, Barangay Salimbao, Sultan Kudarat,
Maguindanao del Norte on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Also apprehended were a 48-year-old named Allan, a 29-year-old named Jiji, and an individual known as Tets.
The operation yielded twelve heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, known as Shabu, weighing approximately 15 grams. The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is ₱102,000.00, as assessed by the PDEA BARMM.
Also seized from the operation were buy-bust money, various drug paraphernalia, two mobile phones, two wallets, assorted identification cards, two motorcycles, and official receipts/certificates of registration.
The arrested individuals are currently detained at the PDEA Jail Facility, awaiting inquest proceedings for violations of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA BARMM carried out the operation with the collaboration of the 61st Mechanized Battalion, Maguindanao Police Provincial Office, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Sultan Kudarat MPS.
