The report also mentioned a meeting between Recto and the Office of the Chief Economist, where discussions were held regarding the Build Better More Program.
This position taken by Secretary Recto contradicts the statement made by former Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, who claimed that the proposal is "fiscally unsustainable," as stated in the report.
Rector emphasized that apart from infrastructure programs, it is crucial to prepare Filipinos for jobs created as a result of these investments.
