Cotabato City - Engineer Ramil Masukat, 50 years old, former director of ARMM HELPS was gunned down in the latest shooting incident in Cotabato City.
The incident transpired at Ramon Rabago Street, Rosary Heights Mother past 6 p.m, Sunday, January 28, 2024 just few meters away from Police Station 2.
“Base sa inisyal na imbestigasyon na ginawa ng police station 2, habang itong mga biktima ay tinatahak po ang Ramon Rabago Avenue heading towards Sinsuat Avenue yung papaakyat po accordingly diyan po sila umpisang tinambangan ng di pa tukoy na mga salarin,“ CPPO Spokesman, Police Major Carmelo Mungkas said.
Masukat was on board his SUV together with his driver and one companion when unidentified gunmen carried out the crime.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds in the abdomen and thigh. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
His two companions were unharmed.

Authorities recovered from the crime scene eight empty shells from .45 caliber firearm.
“Under investigation pa po yung case but then isa po sa tinitignan diyan is something personal no kasi kung hindi ako nagkakamali November 2022, si Engr Masukat po ay tinambangan din po somewhere in Shariff Aguak. Initially yan palang po ang nakikitang motive ng PNP but then tuloy pa rin ang imbestigasyon.” PMajor Mungkas added.
