Lanao del Sur -In a joint operation conducted by the elements of the 103rd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army and the Police Task Force in Balindong, Lanao del Sur, they successfully recovered high-caliber weapons, ammunition, and communication devices believed to be owned by the Dawlah Islamiyah-Maguid Group.
The operation, targeting three suspected hideouts of the said extremist group, was launched on February 4th after receiving information from concerned citizens, which resulted in the seizure of the mentioned items.
The Police Task Force worked hand in hand with the military in the operation.
Brigadier General Yegor Rey Barroquillo Jr., the commander of the 103rd Brigade, commended his men for their successful operation, highlighting their professionalism and dedication.
Major General Gabriel CViray III, the commander of the 1st Infantry Division, also expressed his appreciation for the prompt and coordinated efforts of all the units involved.
