P576 MILLION PROPOSED BUDGET NG MTIT, APRUBADO NA NG COMMITTEE ON FINANCE, BUDGET, AND MANAGEMENT

Inaprubahan na ng Finance, Budget and Management Committee ng BTA Parliament ang 576 million pesos proposed budget ng Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism o MTIT para sa fiscal year 2025.

216 million pesos mula sa pondo ang ilalaan sa trade and industry promotion, P46 million para sa tourism, P21 million para sa investment promotion at facilitation, P43 million para sa ecozone development, at P34 million para sa free port ecozone services.

Kabilang sa mga programa ng ministry ay ang Regional Initiative for Sustainable Enterprise o RISE, project na naglalayong tulungan ang 3,000 micro, small, at medium enterprises (MSMEs) sa taong 2025 sa buong rehiyon.

Pinaplano din ni MTIT ang pagtatatag ng Halal hub, paghusayin ang infrastructure para sa supply chain expansion, ma-penetrate ang new markets, at isulong ang promote human capital development.

Nilalayon din ng MTIT na magpatupad ng Tourism Circuit Development program, para sa specialized destinations hatid ang tailored services para maka-attract ng mga bisita at mapahusay pa ang industry performance.
