Lanao del Sur —In a successful anti-drug operation conducted at Purok 5, Barangay Manila Group, Wao, Lanao del Sur, on Friday, April 12, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency BARMM confiscated approximately ₱6.8 million worth of suspected shabu.
Four (4) high-value individuals were arrested during the operation, identified by the PDEA as alias Aisa, aged 34, a resident of Barangay Bantayao, Lumba-Bayabao, Lanao del Sur; alias Odin, Mamak, and Ex, all residents of Marawi City.
The operation resulted in the seizure of an open black aluminum foil bag bearing Chinese characters, believed to contain methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, weighing 1,000 grams.
The authorities also confiscated buy-bust money, a mobile phone, three wallets containing various identification cards and paper bills, and an SUV.
The arrested suspects are currently under the custody of PDEA BARMM pending the inquest proceedings for violations of Republic Act 9165 as amended by Republic Act No. 10640, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
