Lanao del Sur —The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) BARMM carried out a successful buy-bust operation in Barangay Bugaran, Poona Bayabao, Lanao del Sur, resulting in the seizure of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of 6,970,000 pesos on Tuesday, February 6.
PDEA disclosed that the suspected illegal substance was placed in one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and another in one (1) zip-lock transparent sachet. The seized items weighed approximately 1,025 grams.
Authorities also recovered in the buy-bust operation a mobile phone, buy-bust money, an MNLF identification card, and a .45 caliber pistol.
The suspect, identified as alias "Edris" or "Lawa," a 47-year-old resident of the area, was apprehended during the operation.
The PDEA BARMM currently has custody of the suspect while awaiting the inquest proceedings for violations of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591.
