Cotabato Province —Two law enforcers, identified as Army Corporal Jaafar and Patrolwoman Irish, were apprehended in an entrapment operation launched by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit (RFU) BAR at 4:00 PM, Saturday in Barangay Tubon, Pigcawayan, Cotabato Province.
Corporal Jaafar is currently assigned at OG2, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division, while Patrolwoman Irish is stationed at RPHAS, RPRMD, PRO 12.
The suspects have violated Section 32 of Republic Act 10591, or the unlawful sale of firearms and ammunition.
Recovered from their control and possession during the operation were the following items:
- One (1) Unit Noveske Model N4 cal 5.56 mm with serial no. 0024
- One (1) Unit of Cal.45 Pistol with serial no.018950AFP
- One (1) Magazine for 5.56 mm
- Two (2) Magazine for Cal. 45
- One (1) Back-Pack
- Fourteen (14) pieces of Ammunition for Cal. 5.56 with green tip
- Two (2) pieces of Government ID of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine
National Police
- Two Hundred Thirty-Eight (238) pieces of Boodle money worth of P 119,000.00
- One (1) piece of genuine One Thousand Pesos with serial no. NY585390
- One (1) unit of Honda CRF 150 Motorcycle
- Two (2) units of cell phones with model A51 Samsung
- One (1) key for the Honda CRF 150 Motorcycle
CIDG RFU BAR reported that the transaction was supposed to take place in Cotabato City but was redirected to Pigkawayan.
The arrested individuals and seized evidence were immediately brought to the CIDG RFU BAR office for documentation and proper disposition.
