The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with an International Cybersecurity and Information Technology Training Organization to conduct cybersecurity training in the country, as reported by Radyo Pilipinas.
According to TESDA Director General Secretary Suharto Mangudadatu, this initiative is part of the National Technical Education and Skills Development Plan 2023-2028 to provide ample cybersecurity skills with the assistance of CybersCool Defcon, Inc.
The official emphasized that this partnership will contribute to establishing a secure and reliable cyberspace for every Filipino amidst various online threats, including cyber terrorism in the country.
Under the signed agreement, the organization will provide skills training, assessment, and certification to qualified beneficiaries aged 18 and above or high school graduates, particularly those who are unemployed.
