Cotabato City —The BARMM Grand Coalition recently met with House Speaker Martin Romualdez and presented the group's principles and aspirations following the coalition's establishment.
Among the key discussions during the meeting was ensuring a peaceful, orderly, and free election in the 2025 BARMM elections, as shared by Basilan Representative and Bangsamoro Peoples Party Founder Mujiv Hataman.
Before the meeting, leaders of the BARMM Grand Coalition gathered at the lawmakers' office including Sulu Congressman Samir Tan, Maguindanao del Sur Congressman Tong Paglas, Former Sulu Congressman Munir Arbison, Lanao del Sur Governor Bombit Adiong, TESDA Secretary Teng Mangudadatu, Sulu Governor Sakur Tan, Maguindanao del Sur Governor Bai Mariam Mangudadatu, Kusug Tausug Congresswoman Shernee Tan, and Maguindanao del Norte Congresswoman Bai Dimple Mastura.
The BGC, composed of the Serbisyong Inklusibo Alyansang Progresibo (SIAP) Party, Salaam Party, Al-Ittihad-UKB Party, and the Bangsamoro Peoples Party (BPP), aims to advance the advocacy supported by Hataman, emphasizing that BARMM is for all and not just for a few.
Hataman further stated that the principles and aspirations upheld by the BGC include inclusive governance and development, peace and unity, and the fulfillment of all provisions of the peace agreement in the Bangsamoro region.
All coalition members pledged to diligently work towards maintaining a peaceful and orderly election in the Bangsamoro region next year.
