Gun Attack in Cotabato City Leaves Two Injured, Five Unharmed

Cotabato City —Two (2) people were injured, and five (5)others were unharmed, including former and current village councilors, in a recent shooting incident in Rosary Heights 5, Cotabato City, at 10:27 P.M., Friday, April 19.


The wounded victims were identified as Misuari Enggo Tatak, 49 years old, from Lugay-Lugay, Bagua 1, and Datu Abkar Mastura Maulana, 25 years old, from Rosary Heights 5.


Those who were unharmed were Abdulmuiz Mastura Maulana, former councilor of Rosary Heights 5, his wife Sarah Disalongan Maulana, the current councilor of the same barangay, Kevin Dimacicil Ali, Kasan Tatak Kamsa, and Benzar Ibrahim Bacara, all residents of Rosary Heights 5.


The injured were immediately brought to the hospital for medical treatment.


One of the victims positively identified three suspects in the crime named Oscar, Samir, and Unsay, aged 50, 35, and 30, respectively.


Authorities reported that the victims were traveling in an SUV when the suspects carried out the gun attack.


Authorities have yet to establish the motive of the crime and are still conducting further investigation into the incident.
