Manila —Presidential appointees before February 1, 2024, have been required by Malacanang to submit updated Personal Data Sheet (PDS) and clearances from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Civil Service Commission (CSC), Office of the Ombudsman, and Sandiganbayan.
Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil said this ensures the qualification and review of the performance of the presidential appointees in their respective positions.
The heads of government offices, Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), State Universities and Colleges, and Government Financial Institutions have been directed to enforce compliance with this requirement for all presidential appointees under their jurisdiction, as per the memorandum issued on February 2, 2024.
The submission of these documents is set to be completed within thirty days. Secretary Garafil clarified that this directive applies to all presidential appointees, including those appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and is not limited to those appointed under the Duterte Administration.
