Maguindanao del Norte —The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA BARMM) has confiscated an estimated 1.7 million pesos worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation along the National Highway in Barangay Makir, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Authorities seized 250 grams of suspected shabu concealed in five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets.
Operatives also recovered the buy-bust money, a cellphone, an identification card, and a motorcycle.
Two high-value targets known as alias Nungs, aged 32, and Alias Amir, aged 31, were apprehended during the operation. The suspects are currently detained at the PDEA Regional Office Jail Facility awaiting inquest proceedings for violations under RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
According to PDEA officials, the apprehended individuals were involved in drug trafficking across various towns in Maguindanao, Cotabato City, and General Santos City.
