Manila —The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has released the dates for the upcoming 2025 Bangsamoro Elections, including filing Petitions and Manifestations and conducting Internal Party Elections for Sectoral Representatives.
In the released dates, the period for filing the Petition for Registration or Accreditation of Regional Parliament Political Parties (RPPP) and Regional Parliament Sectoral Organizations (RPSO) is from May 15, 2024, to June 7, 2024.
The deadline for the submission of the Sworn Information Update Statement (SIUS) by registered political parties or coalitions of political parties to the Political Finance and Affairs Department (PFAD) will be on August 15, 2024.
The COMELEC has set August 29, 2024, as the final day for party conventions of duly registered RPPP to select nominees for Party Representatives in the parliament.
Following that, on August 30, 2024, the deadline for filing a Manifestation of Intent to Participate in the Parliamentary Election (MIP-PE) by Party Representatives is set. This also marks the last day for submitting a Manifestation of Intent to Participate in the Parliamentary Sectoral Representation System (MIP-PSRS) by Party Representatives.
For the internal party elections for representatives in the NMIP, Traditional Leaders, and Ulama Sectors, the First Level is scheduled from January 6, 2025, to February 14, 2025.
Subsequently, the assemblies for the election of representatives in the women, settler communities, and youth sectors, as well as the Second Level of the internal party elections for representatives in NMIP, Traditional Leaders, and Ulama Sectors, are set to take place from February 15, 2025, to April 4, 2025.
